Among various kinds of collectible toys, BE@RBRICKs, a plastic bear-shaped figurine, have become one of the most sought after and recognizable characters in the world! Most people may perceive regular toy figurines as mainly for kids; however, BE@RBRICKs have successfully become a crucial part of the modern expression in art, culture, style, and fashion, and beloved by everyone regardless of gender or age.
BE@RBRICKs belongs to a Japanese company called 'Medicom Toy,' founded in 1996 and famous for its plastic figurines associated with popular culture. Although the most common form of BE@RBRICKs is made of plastic, Medicom Toy has introduced different materials into the mix throughout different series released, including metal and wood. Released on 27 May 2001, the BE@RBRICK 100% marked the beginning of the series, which later came in sizes ranging from 50% to 1000%.
