It’s the weekend. You’ve had a long and tiring week and deserve a casual day out. You have an appointment in about an hour. You’re all dressed up, you grab your bag, phone and wallet and leave the house and suddenly stop. What are you forgetting?

That’s right, you’ve left your mask on the desk. In today’s world, who knows what’ll happen if you forget your face masks. All it takes is one cough from the person sitting opposite you and you’re a carrier. There’s a reason why the BTS, the local 7/11 amongst many other places have imposed a rule of having face masks on your face at all times. No face mask equals a denied entry. If you haven’t heard, the LVMH and Kering group are currently producing facemasks exclusively for the medical community. The big question that needs to be answered is: how long would it take before these companies join forces with pharmaceutical companies and begin pumping out medical grade masks. Should that day come, we won’t be at all surprised if these masks end up in the resell market.

Will the world eventually see the demand for face masks match those with sneakers? We’ll be looking to keep track with the trends for the upcoming months and perhaps years. Masks are not just a must have accessory, but a literally a MUST-HAVE to help avoid, like, dying from the coronavirus or other diseases. We know for sure that this trend should definitely be encouraged, at least for the near future.
