Nike Vapormax 2020
Nike’s newest Vapormax model is made from recycled materials, but that's why we love it!
Since the release of their very first Vapormax during Nike’s annual Airmax day celebration in 2017 (which is the 26th of May, if you didn't know!) Nike has added the Vapormax silhouette to their list of sneakers that are given a nice revamp year after year.
The moment we thought that Nike wasn’t going to give an updated Vapormax for 2020, the sportswear giant teased us with their newest upcoming model; the Vapormax 2020. Revealed as part of the brand’s 2020 Olympic games line up in February, official images have surfaced showing the Multi-Colour; colourway.
Different in many ways compared to its predecessors, the Vapormax 2020 multicolour upholds its name. The best part about this shoe; Nike claimed that the shoe is constructed from at least 50% recycled content by weight. Talking about heading towards a sustainable world, Nike is not showing any signs of slowing down when it comes to technology, as has been highlighted in its recent release of the crazyyyyy ISPA shoe collection.
In addition to the Multi-colourway, Nike has also revealed its Smoke grey that comes in a similar pattern and tonal colour. Both shoes are covered in a spectrum of hues woven into the grey based upper. Debuting in this silhouette, Nike has finally added the FlyEase fit system to the Vapormax line, making it incredible simple (and foolproof) to secure our shoe on our foot; simply pull on the heel’s bungee cord “lock” tabs to tighten the shoe or loosen the shoe by pulling on the tongue tb which says, “release”. Somehow, we are reminded of Alexander Wang’s and adidas’ Reissue Run silhouette that was released 2 years ago, which feature similar features, but that’s another story!
As far as we know, the Vapormax 2020 is set to be released on July the 23rd. Will you be looking to cop this stylish and yet eco-friendly model? Let us know!
