Casablanca

Casablanca is a French clothing brand that was found at the end of 2018 by Charaf Tajer. Inspired by the designer's multicultural French / Moroccan upbringing, Casablanca's fresh energy brings to the fashion world screams luxury sportswear and loungewear. Although you probably haven't heard of their clothing line, we guarantee that you've at least heard or seen their latest collaboration with New Balance that was released earlier this year in April. Debuting their first footwear line with New Balance on their newest 327 silhouettes, the shoes sold out way too fast. The sneakers were released in two very summery colorways; a white/ green pair, and a white/ orange/ green pair. No other sneaker reflects the brand's vision and aesthetics as much as the Casablanca x New Balances 327, as Charaf Tajer calls it 'it's the ultimate leisure shoe.' The sneakers, however, are a piece of a bigger picture of how Charaf envisions his brand's image, which was featured and well-received in their latest SS20 collection. Their recent summer collection showcases the label's summer aesthetic for the season, featuring intricately patterned silk shirts and matching shorts, tennis club inspired Tees and sweatshirts, and eye-catching denim on the grounds of a glamorous villa. As we're heading into the fall season (which is pretty much all year round for people living in Thailand), Casablanca's been following a trend of weekly drops for their Fall/winter collection.

Jacquemus

Jacquemus is a young brand that is currently taking the high-fashion world by storm. Founded by young French Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus in 2009, the name of the brand was named after his late mother's maiden name when she passed away the year before. After the tragic incident and coming to self-realization that life could be over instantly, Simon Porte immediately dropped out of school and started his own label when he was only 19. To help fund his business, he worked at the Commes des Garcons boutique in Paris, and as fate would have it, Rei Kawabuko (founder of the CDG brand) would, later on, serve as one of his biggest inspirations as well as come to be one of the biggest supporters of his designs and brand.

Jacquemus breathes out an unapologetic vibe that features asymmetrical designs, oversized stiff silhouettes, experimental makeup, and topless models; the brand projects an incredibly strong sense of freedom. His most famous collection yet, which received a lot of attention on social media, especially Instagram, Jacquemus let the world embrace his 'le petit' creation, the Le Chiquitoin 2018. Worn by numerous celebrities including Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, and Emily Ratajkowski and many more, these new bag ideas and designs sparked an immense amount of attention, putting Jacquemus hot on the radar! Known for his experimental ideology and miniature-sized bags, the brand's (recently released) FW20 bag collection feature variations of the Le Chiquito and new silhouettes named Le Bambino and Le Sac Noeud, all of which are available in 'le petit to 'le grand' sized bags. In addition to his female clothing line and bags, Jacquemus also offers a men's clothing line that projects a whole lot of minimalism, sometimes a bit TOO minimal, but that's why they stand out! The Jacquemus brand is hot and certainly here to stay.
